In the 5th century BCE, Celts settled at the foot of Ślęża. These tribes brought with them, among other things, the ability to produce wine and make wooden barrels. The headquarters of Celtica Vineyard is located in Sobótka, for which we developed a series of labels for Sabat wine.
Polish vineyards are run by enthusiasts who have a great love for their land and its produce. These individuals put their hearts and time into cultivating grapes and producing the best possible wines. Hence, the origin, local landmarks, traditions, and history are crucial to them.
These are the elements they wanted to convey on their labels because this is what sets them apart from other vineyards. Therefore, when we undertook the design of labels for Polish wines for Celtica Vineyard, we captured both the name Sabat (referring to the city Sobótka) and the image of the bear standing on the summit of Ślęża.
Enhancements in Printing – Key to the Final Effect
As a result, we developed four labels, three of which were implemented in 2022. Notably, one of the labels was printed on thin veneer from cherry wood imported from Scandinavia, making it likely the first wine label in Poland to feature such a material!
Designing labels for Polish wines is a pure pleasure. It means working with true enthusiasts for whom wines are their whole life. It allows us to delve into symbolism, learn about the place of origin, and explore details related to the production of a particular wine.
