Delikatesowy – product branding

The all new oil brand
Diamen company has been importing and distributing vegetable oils for years. It was only natural that the company would finally decide to conquer the retail market.
We helped them launch their own product. Admittedly, it’s not an easy market to enter, as there are already many established players. However, many years of experience have resulted in a truly successful launch and a growing customer base.


Challenge
We began our work with market research. Then we moved on to naming, which is where we encountered our first obstacle. Many oils available on the polish market are named after their region of origin: Kujawski, Wielkopolski, Beskidzki, etc. In our case, such name wasn’t possible because our oil comes from various locations, not one specific region.
We therefore had to change our search area and create a completely different name. Before discussing the names with the client, we checked each one for availability at the Polish Patent Office and also on Google. This helped us avoid situations where a name was not registered but already existed on the market and there was no point in duplicating it.
Ultimately, the client chose from 12 names. After much deliberation, the name “Delikatesowy” (Delicatessen) was chosen. We were then able to move on to creating labels and a logo.

Label design
From the outset, the brand was positioned as a mass-market product. Rapeseed and sunflower oil aren’t overly sophisticated products. Therefore, we didn’t want to reinvent the wheel or add philosophy where it wasn’t needed. These are highly utilitarian products, and their high quality is paramount.
Our task, therefore, was to create a brand for everyone. We knew from the outset that we weren’t planning to introduce a revolutionary player to the market. The idea was to create a product that would feel as if it had always been on the market.
We developed a series of designs, of which we presented five. The client selected one that incorporated the use of transparent foil, allowing the label to seamlessly transition into the bottle at the top.
The main element of the label is a board with the product logo and its main fields of application. In the background are rapeseed and sunflower flowers.



Designing landing page
Labels alone aren’t everything. To build a credible product image for business partners, it was also necessary to design and implement a landing page in three languages. We designed the entire website structure and slogans, and also handled copywriting, modifying the client’s content and offering our own.
We also took care of the English and German translations, and then implemented the entire website via Webflow.


Labels for five-liter versions
Five-liter bottles of cooking oil are a popular product in Poland. Polish cuisine features a lot of fried dishes, and five-liter bottles save both money and time by not having to travel to the store to replenish supplies. That’s why we also developed labels for large-capacity bottles.
